As you drive down Scuffletown Rd, you’ll notice the growing number of new communities, but there’s a noticeable absence of places where people can come together for spiritual growth. At Advent UMC, we see this gap and feel called to create a space where real spiritual transformation and authentic biblical community can take root.
Our vision for Advent Scuffletown is simple: to be the hands and feet of Jesus, building relationships that go beyond a typical church community to become a true faith family. We understand that many people have experienced hurt and uncertainty when it comes to both church and family. That’s why our mission is to help you gather with others who are passionately pursuing God, grow deeper in your relationship with Him, and go out into the community to share your faith story.
In this season, Advent Scuffletown’s gatherings are “Church without walls.” We host events right where life happens, in places that are part of the fabric of our community. For example, we are hosting Christmas Under the Stars at Commerce Park in downtown Fountain Inn and worship gatherings at The Mill. These events are designed to make it easy for you to experience the Word of God and connect with others—right where you are.
Each gathering is a time of fellowship, prayer, and worship in an atmosphere that is casual, family-friendly, and open to everyone. We want each person who attends to walk away feeling refreshed and renewed in their faith. Most importantly, we hope Advent Scuffletown will become a place you can call home—a place where you belong and can grow spiritually, together with others.
