Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Discipleship is a journey of growing in love for God and love for others. True love always involves action—it is a verb! That’s why, as individuals and as a congregation, we put a premium on gathering in worship, growing in groups, and serving in missions. We are known for not only what we say, but for what we do locally, regionally, and internationally. Those that come to Advent truly are the hands and feet of Christ, serving in any way they can.
Advent was chartered in 1987 in preparation for the anticipated growth in the Five Forks area. As our zip code has grown, so have we; and thirty years later we are a large, vibrant congregation from a variety of backgrounds.
